Peacocks - we present a pattern characteristic of the Byzantine period. This motif dates back to the 14th century, probably originating from Italy. The fabric depicts a pair of peacocks in a circle. Not only is this motif in a circle a very common surviving pattern in Europe, thanks to Byzantine or oriental influence. There are many similar brocades, especially in Spain.
