Queen Margaret's Gold Brocade - in honor of Her Majesty, we are honored to present you with a replica of the original fabric, which was woven in Italy between 1403 and 1439. On the brocade you can notice the pomegranate motif in laurel wreaths in ogival figures. The pomegranate, as a pattern, was often depicted as a symbol of fertility, most often used in royal families. There are two theories about the dress. The first claims that the dress was made as the queen's wedding dress. The second theory denies this claim based on radiocarbon dating, which proves the dress was used in the queen's mature age.
